This zone is intended for ''missing middle'' or middle-density housing such as walkups, garden apartments, and rowhouses allowing a density range of 20 to 30 dwelling units per acre. The RN 3 zone is appropriate in existing residential neighborhoods or planned developments within a short distance of village centers.
